Production and warehouse workers for Kingston's manufacturing estates, from Moorabbin and Cheltenham to Braeside and Dingley Village.
Bluestone Labour Group supplies production hands, storepersons, forklift operators and despatch staff to manufacturers and warehouses in Moorabbin, Braeside, Mordialloc, Cheltenham, Heatherton and Dingley Village. Below is the work we see across the Kingston industrial belt, the roles that fit it and how a booking works.
The City of Kingston describes itself as a manufacturing powerhouse, and its planning scheme calls the local industrial sector one of the largest and most concentrated in Victoria, with manufacturing the biggest part of the economy. State policy protects the industrial land at Moorabbin, Moorabbin Airport, Braeside and Clayton South as regionally significant. The older streets of Moorabbin, Cheltenham and Braeside hold small and medium manufacturers, while the newer garden estates in Braeside hold larger firms. Plastics and chemical products lead, with printing, automotive and food manufacturing alongside. Since the Mordialloc Freeway opened in 2021, linking the Mornington Peninsula Freeway to the Dingley Bypass, the Braeside and Dingley estates have had a direct freeway run.
Production first, then the store and despatch roles around it.
Line, packing and assembly hands for plastics, chemical, printing and food plants, recruited for the shift they will work.
Receival, picking and despatch for the stores attached to manufacturing plants and for the warehouses in the Braeside estates.
LF and LO holders for raw material, finished goods and truck loading, with the licence class matched to the machines on your floor.
Despatch coordinators, stock controllers and leading hands for plants that run their own store and transport.
Not an exhaustive list. If your site is nearby and not named, ask.

Kingston's manufacturers range from small workshops to two shift plants, and the request looks different at each. A small plant usually needs one or two people who can be trusted to turn up and learn the job, while a larger one needs a steady group on a roster. We ask about the work, the machines and the shift before we offer anyone, and we keep the same people on your site where we can.
Every worker is a casual employee on our payroll, engaged under the award that covers the work and checked against the duties before the first shift, with warehouse roles under the Storage Services and Wholesale Award 2020. We pay the wages, superannuation and WorkCover, check right to work and sight High Risk Work Licences. You receive one weekly invoice from the timesheets your supervisor approves.
Machine specific training and sign off stay with you, on your plant. Give us as much notice as you can, especially for a second shift, and if we cannot fill a request we say so. There is no sign up fee and no lock in contract.
