Warehouse, wholesale and production workers for the industrial side of the Monash precinct.
Bluestone Labour Group supplies storepersons, pick packers, forklift operators and production hands to distribution sites, wholesalers and manufacturers in Clayton, Mulgrave, Notting Hill, Huntingdale and Oakleigh South. Below is the work we see around the Monash precinct, the roles that fit it and how a booking works.
These suburbs sit in the City of Monash, inside the Monash National Employment and Innovation Cluster, which the state identifies as a precinct of international significance. The cluster is best known for Monash University, CSIRO, the Australian Synchrotron and the hospitals, but its industrial side is large too. Wholesale trade and manufacturing are both local specialisations, and chemicals, polymer and rubber products and machinery lead the manufactured exports. Mulgrave, around Wellington Road and Jacksons Road, is a head office and distribution location, and business parks such as the Monash Business Park and Clayton Business Park hold office warehouses, which have replaced many of the older large factories. The roads that matter for a shift start are the Monash Freeway, the Princes Highway, Wellington Road, Springvale Road and Ferntree Gully Road.
Warehouse and wholesale roles first, then production.
Receival, picking and despatch for the distribution centres in Mulgrave and the wholesalers in the business parks, where order accuracy matters more than raw speed.
LF holders for docks and reach trucks and LO holders for order pickers, with the class matched to your machines before anyone is offered.
For wholesalers holding parts, machinery and equipment, where a stock count that is out by a few lines causes real problems.
Line, packing and assembly hands for chemical, polymer and machinery manufacturers, asked about the site's safety and quality rules before the placement.
Not an exhaustive list. If your site is nearby and not named, ask.
We hold Victorian Labour Hire Licence VICLHL11535, granted under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 (Vic). A host that uses an unlicensed provider is exposed too, which is why our licence number is on every page of this site.
Much of the industrial work here sits in office warehouses and wholesale sites, so a typical request is one or two people who can be trusted with stock and customer orders rather than a full crew. We ask about the stock, the systems and the machines before we offer anyone, and we keep the same people on your site where we can.
Every worker is a casual employee on our payroll: warehouse roles under the Storage Services and Wholesale Award 2020 at the grade that matches the duties, and production roles under the award that covers the work. We pay the wages, superannuation and WorkCover, and you receive one weekly invoice from the timesheets your supervisor approves.
Right to work is checked and High Risk Work Licences are sighted before anyone is offered. Where the job involves chemicals, controlled stock or customer facing despatch, tell us, and we ask about that experience too. Give us as much notice as you can, and if we cannot cover a request we tell you straight away. There is no sign up fee and no lock in contract.

Yes. Clayton South is in the City of Kingston rather than Monash, and its industrial land is covered on our Moorabbin and Braeside page. We supply both sides of the boundary.
Yes. There is no minimum crew size, and a single storeperson or despatch hand gets the same checks as a full shift. Each worker has a minimum engagement of four hours a day.
Right to work, the High Risk Work Licence class against your machines, and relevant experience such as RF scanning, stock control or chemical handling. Your site induction and any machine sign off stay with you.
