Bluestone supplies civil labourers, plant operators, traffic controllers, forklift drivers and production staff to sites across Melbourne. Every ticket is checked before the worker is booked. Most requests are covered within 24 to 48 hours.
We keep to the work we know: civil sites, warehouses and factories. Each role has its own tickets and its own checks, and each page sets out what we verify before anyone is placed.
There is no portal to learn and no account to set up. Call or send the details, and we do the rest.
The role, how many, the site address, the start time and how long you need them. Two minutes on the phone or the form.
We match from workers whose tickets we have already sighted, and confirm names with you before the shift.
Inducted, in PPE, with tickets current. We call each worker the night before and cover any gap before your start time.
Your supervisor approves the timesheet. We handle pay, super and WorkCover and send a single weekly invoice.
A worker with the wrong ticket costs you more than a worker who is late. We sight every document before a name goes on the roster, not after the worker arrives at the gate.
Some sites want experienced ABN contractors. Others want everyone on a payroll. We supply both, and you can mix them on the same job under one agreement.
Experienced workers who run their own business
On the Bluestone payroll under the on-site Award
Casual labour hire in Melbourne. Casual labour hire suits work where the hours and headcount move: a production line ramping for an order, a distribution centre heading into peak, or a civil crew short two labourers for a pour. A few casuals can usually start within 24 to 48 hours of a request. The casual charge rate is built on the award wage plus casual loading, superannuation, WorkCover and payroll tax, with our margin on top, so there is no separate leave liability for you to carry. Our guides on staffing a production line with casuals and choosing between a contractor and a casual employee cover the detail.
Demand is not the same across the city. The west and north run warehousing and subdivision civil, the south east runs production and distribution. We place accordingly.
Regional Victoria is within reach for longer bookings. Tell us the whole programme rather than each week separately and we can keep the same crew on the job.
Fill a gap on site with workers whose tickets we have already checked, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
Steady work on civil, warehouse and production sites across Melbourne, paid weekly.
Civil construction sites, warehouses and distribution centres, and factories. Traffic controllers are supplied as part of civil work. We do not place office, hospitality or healthcare staff.
Most requests are covered within 24 to 48 hours. If you call early in the day we can sometimes cover the same day, depending on the role and where the site is. The earlier we know, the more choice you get.
The white card on the national register, right to work, any high risk work licence or ticket the role needs, and a driver licence and transport where the site needs it. Contractors also have their ABN and public liability sighted. Casual employees are covered by WorkCover and superannuation from their first shift. We ask for a police check where the site or client requires one.
A contractor holds their own ABN and public liability insurance and invoices Bluestone for their hours. A casual employee is on the Bluestone payroll under the Building and Construction General On-site Award, so we handle wages, tax, superannuation and WorkCover. You receive one weekly invoice either way and can mix both on the same job.
Yes. Bluestone Labour Group holds Victorian Labour Hire Licence VICLHL11535, granted by the Labour Hire Authority under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 (Vic). In Victoria a host must only use a licensed provider, so the obligation sits with you as well as with us.
One invoice a week covering every worker on your site. Timesheets are approved by your supervisor before we bill. There are no sign up fees and no lock in contracts. Rates are quoted per job once we know the role, the hours and the site.
The worker is a casual employee of Bluestone, not of your business. We pay their wages at or above the relevant award with casual loading, and handle PAYG, superannuation and WorkCover. You direct the work on site and approve the hours, and we invoice weekly against those approved timesheets. Most requests for a few casuals are covered within 24 to 48 hours.
